Getting Started
Every style of dance begins with a solid foundation and knowledge of basic skills. Throughout the Basic Introductory Program at Arthur Murray Dance Center of Gaithersburg, you will learn and master the three most important elements of dancing. Our instructors will teach you about proper foot position, rhythm and timing and the acts of leading and following during certain dances. In learning the rudimentary moves of ballroom dancing, you will establish the groundwork for learning and practicing more of the popular dances we teach, including the cha-cha, salsa, tango, waltz and more.
